S2 Line design
Kirkland
Designs include:
- Totem Lake Station (at I-405 and NE 128th St):
- Adding the necessary infrastructure to the existing I-405 and Totem Lake Freeway Station to incorporate Stride station elements and bus service.
- Kirkland/NE 85th Station, delivered by WSDOT (at the I-405 and NE 85th St interchange):
- Reconstructing to a three-tier interchange at NE 85th St with an inline Stride station on I-405 and access to the express toll lanes.
- Creating direct access from Stride stations to I-405 express toll lanes, reducing the time it takes to exit and enter the highway to pick up and drop off passengers.
- Improving non-motorized access to the station with new pathways and connections to local transit.


Bothell
Designs include:
- Three station locations all designed and built in partnership with WSDOT:
- Brickyard Station (near I-405 and NE 160th St, adjacent to the Brickyard Park-and-Ride).
- Bothell/Woodinville Transit Center Station.
- Canyon Park Station (I-405 and SR 527 interchange, adjacent to the Canyon Park Park-and-Ride).
- Brickyard Station includes pedestrian bridges and connections to the neighborhood east of the station.
- The Bothell-Woodinville Transit Center includes connections between the S2 Line, S3 Line, and a new peak-hour Woodinville-Bellevue bus service.
- The Canyon Park Station includes rebuilt pedestrian bridges to access the neighborhood to the west and the Park-and-Ride.
- All stations will have transit connections to King County Metro or Community Transit services.
Lynnwood
Designs include:
- Converting an existing bay at the existing Lynnwood Transit Center (200th St SW and 48th Ave W) to create Stride’s Lynnwood City Center Station with transfers to Link light rail, ST Express, and various Community Transit services including the Swift Orange Line.
- Adding two Stride layover bays with battery-charging at the Lynnwood Transit Center parking lot.
- Improving and widening the roadways on the northbound I-5 on-ramp at Poplar Way and the southbound I-5 on-ramp at 196th/36th St to support Stride operations to and from Lynnwood City Center Station.
